Torpedo Build Issue
« on: April 04, 2018, 09:53:08 AM »
Hi All,

Im trying to build a torpedo launcher.  Ive built the tube, and also used them before, but this odd "bug" seems to happen.

Basically if the tubes are external to the ship they fire fine, you get 2 full tubes when matching and X on, but when your Torp tube is inside the ship, it fails to register as a tube.

There is nothing in the way of it at all.

Any ideas?

It needs a clear line of fire.

The L-shaped arrow isn't exactly the trajectory the torpedo fires at, unless you somehow made the arrow straight, which I never could and would mean a clear line of fire (so in that case, expanding the armor portion of the tube to get more space for the shaft's line of fire may cause it to register as a tube).
I do not know really what conditions validate a torpedo trajectory though :-\.

Torpedo Launchers do not work that way. They do not fire torpedoes upfront, but instead catapult them out of the ship to the side, and then torpedo starts-up toward the direction of the arrow displayed. This is what the displayed trajectory stands for.
Universe is but the energy floating in space with a set velocity. Everything on top is basic geometry.
